Your benefits at a glance

On the MyELChoices Benefits Overview page, you will see the benefit panels with all the benefits available to you:
- ‘Edit’ on a panel means that you can choose and change the benefit.
- ‘Select’ on a panel means that you can choose the benefit but can’t amend it.
- ‘More Info’ on each panel allows you to see more details about the benefit.
Log in to MyELChoices to learn more about the benefits available to you, including areas related to your:
- Health
- Money
- Salary

Life Events
You may need to change some of your benefits following a change in your personal circumstances, also known as a ‘Life Event’.
Registering a change in circumstance is done in five simple steps:
- Click the profile icon in the top right-corner of the homepage.
- Select ‘Change in Circumstance.’
- Select the option that relates to your change in circumstances.
- Enter the event date in the pop-up box on the right-hand side.
- Click ‘Save.’
Once you have registered a change in circumstance, you will need to amend your benefits through MyELChoices.
Adding your dependants
Some of your benefits enable you to provide coverage for your dependents. You will need to add this information on MyELChoices to make sure that your dependents are covered.
- Click on the profile icon at the top right-hand corner of your homepage.
- Select ‘Your Profile and Dependents’ from the dropdown menu.
- Click ‘Add or Update Dependents.’
- Type in your dependents’ details and click ‘Save.’
Allocating your beneficiaries
You can also use the profile icon to add your beneficiary information.
Remember, beneficiaries can be different to your dependents, according to benefit eligibility rules. You can also opt to have more than one beneficiary.
- Click on the profile icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Select ‘Beneficiaries’ from the drop-down menu.
- Select ‘Add new.’
- Type in your beneficiaries’ details and click ‘Save.’
